Cookie Policy of the Snapback Service

Version 2026-10-06 · Updated 06.10.2026

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Below is what https://snapbackbot.com uses. For more on data processing, see the Privacy Policy.

1. Essential Cookies

Without these the site does not work or does not remember basic choices. Consent is not required for them.

Name Purpose Duration
session Signed session: account sign-in, service messages, current language. Does not contain your password. Up to 14 days (the application's standard session cookie lifetime)
lang Remembers the interface language you chose (functional cookie). 1 year

The session cookie is marked SameSite=Lax, and on the production server it is sent only over a secure connection (HTTPS).

2. Analytics Cookies

If Google Analytics is enabled on the site, its cookies are set only after you click to consent in the banner. Until then, analytics is not loaded. Google Analytics collects anonymized visit statistics (pages, duration, device type, approximate region). The data is processed by Google; its rules are at policies.google.com.

If Google Analytics is turned off, there is no banner and no analytics cookies.

3. Local Storage of Your Choice

So that we do not ask you every time, your choice in the banner (accept or decline analytics) is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) on your device. It is not sent to the server.

4. How to Opt Out or Delete Cookies

  • In the banner, choose to decline analytics. You can change your decision by clearing the site's data in your browser: the banner will appear again.
  • In your browser settings you can block or delete cookies and site data. If you block the essential cookies, signing in and remembering your language will not work.
  • Signing out of your account ends the current session.
